IT Operations Manager - Cloud and Network Operations

Job Description

Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the daily operational activities of the digital Operations cloud infrastructure.Design, maintain, monitor, and repair cloud infrastructure, servers, and networks. Ensure that the networks function efficiently by collecting, Installing, configuring, and supporting an organizations local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) . Maintain network hardware and software. Monitor the network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Configuring and supporting an organizations cloud network LAN WAN and WALN maintaining network software including Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Exchange 2013, office 365, Hyper-V, and hardware, including Switches, Firewalls, Servers, and VCs devices. Monitor the network to ensure network availability to all systems and users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Coordinate and implement network security measures.Role and ResponsibilitiesIndividual tasks vary depending on the organization, but may include:Cloud computing

• Evaluate and implement cloud-based infrastructure this include Manage Microsoft Azure identities and governance, Implement and manage storage, Configure and manage virtual machine, networking and Monitor and back up Azure resources
• Collaborating with digital operations team teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
• Designing, developing, and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
• Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
• Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
• Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.
• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
• Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Monitor cloud resource key metrics
• Integrate cloud systems into the current environment
• Resolve operational problems

System Administration and IT Operations

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
• Mange Microsoft Azure active directory, Exchange server and office 355.
• Support end-users with IT related problems within Service Level Agreement
• Administer assistance through office visits as necessary to users remotely or
• Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
• Report on the status of network and could environment as the status changes on a periodic basis
• install and integrate new server hardware and applications
• Supports users, server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications.
• Provide technical oversight of a multi-site enterprise level WAN, including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Install and support Microsoft Lync telephones system and other networked telecommunication devices.

Network Operations

• Collaborating with internal departments to build and maintain network infrastructures that meet business needs.
• Optimizing intranet performance and creating internet domains.
• Increasing server capacity to keep up with demand in the flow of online traffic.
• Assess a company or organization?s network and computer system
• Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining LAN/WAN/Wireless and related hardware, Firewalls, switches and routers;
• Design, deploy and administer the network Infrastructure and supporting systems.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts
• Administering and maintaining remote VPN access, applications and security for network related administration and access.

IT Security

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Firewalls preferably Palo Alto or Cyberoam includes configuration and deployment of devices, firewalls rules , Intrusion Detection Systems and Site to site VPN .Ensure Firewalls fulfillment of security policies and security requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Analyze and monitor server security and make recommendations or implement patches/fixes to address potential security holes
• Administering and maintaining firewall rules, switch port, VLAN, and McAfee endpoint security.
• Responsible for writing logs, reports of incidents and malfunctions

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related disciplines.

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 5 years? experience in IT system administration.
• The following certifications are preferred CCNA, MCSCE OR MCITP

Job Specific Skills:The following GENERIC competencies/behavioral skills add significant value to performance of the job:

• Strong skills in Active Directory, Exchange server and office 365 skills
• Good knowledge of MS Server Products, networking ( WAN, VPN, Switching, Wireless, Firewall)
• Solid understanding of firewall rules, VLAN , and Switches configurations
• Microsoft azure could Windows 2012 Hyper-V ? solid understanding
• Must be confident, assertive, and a team player
• Possesses good Problem Solving & Analysis, ,
• Good Communication and presentation skills are a must
• Ability to set up, configure, troubleshoot and support Windows clients, servers and active directory.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization
• Analytical thinking combined with the ability to interact confidently with Windows clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
• Ability to improve the present systems passionately.
• Fluent in English.
