Archeotech, a division of Isam Kabbani & Partners for Construction & Maintenance, provides archaeological and heritage services that manages the impact of development on cultural heritage resources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Archeotech is looking to appoint a Heritage Project Manager who will be involved in the successful management of heritage projects from inception to completion, assisting the Archaeological Director. This is a key and varied role, which will include the preparation of Technical Proposals and Commercial Offers, planning and coordinating heritage projects; fieldwork; direct supervision of teams of heritage personnel during fieldwork; and production of technical reports, including Heritage Impact Assessments.Duties and Responsibilitiesprepare Technical Proposals with Commercial Offers, Heritage Impact Assessment Reports, Rapid Site Assessment Reports, Watching Brief Assessment Reports, Standing Building Survey Reports; and Archaeological Assessment Reports;direct and participate in multiple archaeological projects including landscape survey, archaeological evaluations, standing building surveys, excavations and watching briefs. coordination of on-site logistics for archaeological projects and resolve problems to ensure the timely, safe, and effective completion of program;conduct walk-over surveys and rapid site assessments; conduct archaeological fieldwork (survey, evaluation, excavation, and watching briefs) when required;direct supervision of teams of field archaeologists, ensuring that excavation and recording procedures are maintained to the highest standard and that work is completed to scope;ensure the application of safe work practices by crew members during survey and excavation projects;assist with project planning activities, to include identifying appropriate equipment, resources and personnel required, project budgets, and project design;provide quality archaeological field training to trainee field archaeologists;assists material culture and environmental specialists in accessing material and data;co-ordinate the archiving of data and materials; liaison with clients, government bodies (for example, the Royal Commission of Al-Ula), contractors, and other stakeholders; and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Working Conditions and Physical Effort Work can involve exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises. Work environments can involve exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work requires hiking in rugged terrain with elevation changes of more than 250 meters.
