The Finance Director will manage the organization?s financial operations, including oversight of accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, production of financial statements and reports to the senior management team on financial decisions. The Finance Director is responsible for monitoring and maintaining internal controls, while overseeing financial systems and related compliance requirements and the financial services area including Credit, investment portfolio and business risk management.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES-Ensure that credit risk is balanced with business objectives, targets are met and that only valid claims with proper management authorization are paid.-Oversees the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, balance sheet management and royalty management.-Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.-Coordinates and oversees the activities relative to internal controls documentation and testing and segregation of duties.-Serves as the local resource for all audit questions regarding methodology and procedure.-Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all company entities. This may include involvement in due diligence and other activities surrounding acquisitions/dispositions.-Responsible for proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules. Undertakes a real-time review of each instrument order and its terms for changes needed and determination of proper timing of revenue recognition. Involves significant interaction with Sales and Customer Service groups.-Ensures that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and local financial regulations/by laws. Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.-Ensures that company financial reports are prepared in compliance with policies and directives, audit and legal reporting requirements.-Supervises the completion of ZAKAT, GAZETTE and other tax reporting requirements (including income, property, sales and use, payroll and other local taxes), insurance reports and other reports required by government regulation. Also, assists Corporate Tax, Treasury and Risk departments with dealing with tax related issues and meeting reporting requirements.-Ensures that the ERP system continues to operate as required. Involved in validating/designing suggested changes to ensure financial/accounting requirements continue to be met.-Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records. Is further responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings-Ensures that the finance and accounting department is staffed with qualified financial personnel capable of meeting the objectives and responsibilities. Responsible for continued development of these associates.-Plan, implement and manage the overall financial strategy of the organization.-Be aware of the companys financial position at all time, including cash flows and budgeting needs.-Constantly suggest ideas for improvement and process optimization.-Set targets for finance & accounting personnel and set up KPIs for financial performance.-Develop fundraising strategy and build close relationships with partners and investors.-Responsible for financial research and forecasts.?-Lead the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CEO; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and produce monthly budget versus actual reports.-Develop appropriate investment strategies and oversee their implementation.-Work with Executive team on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships, as well as assisting in the development and negotiation of contracts.-Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective project/product/service delivery.-Assess the benefits of all prospective contracts and advise the Executive team.EDUCATION:CA or CPA or CMA with completion of a bachelors degree in finance at an accredited college or university.EXPERIENCE:-Minimum 10 years Managerial experience of combined Public & Private Industry accounting with a multinational Organization
