Job Description

Family Medicine Specialist

  • Develop personal relationships with patients.
  • Create patient-specific health programs that make use of historical data.
  • Monitor and adapt individualized health programs over time.
  • Schedule and administer follow-up examinations.
  • Make use of patient health data in medical analyses.
  • Offer comprehensive wellness exams.
  • Administering vaccinations.
  • Perform medical operations.
  • Recommending specialists for treatment outside of their capacity.
  • Educating patients in health management and disease prevention.
  • Offer birthing services.
Internal Medicine Specialist
  • Monitor patients conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments, as necessary.
  • Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients conditions.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
  • Coordinate work with nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and other health care providers.
  • Operate on patients to remove, repair, or improve the functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.
  • Plan, implement or administer health programs or standards in-home care, businesses, or communities for prevention or treatment of injury or illness.
  • Prepare organizational reports which include birth, death, and disease statistics, workforce evaluations, or medical status of individuals.
  • Manage patients? long-term conditions (chronic diseases) according to their needs and ability.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues in the management of complex cases and collaboration with relevant agencies/service providers.
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle and support the organization in identifying, planning, and undertaking health promotion activities for identified individuals, targets group, or for the general population according to the local populations health needs.
  • Recognize cultural, religious, disability, gender issues, communication style, content, and language when communicating with patients and staff.
