Our team of over 400 engineers and developers are empowered to develop cutting-edge technology every day.Careem was established in July 2012, became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uber Technologies, Inc. in January 2020, and today operates in over 100 cities across 12 countries.What youll do:We are looking to hire a Director of Governance & Board Secretary to support the Chairman of our Careem Pay business with respect to the duties of the board and board committees, taking responsibility for compliance with relevant laws and our internal Corporate Governance Framework.Key responsibilities:

  • Record and distribute board and committee meeting minutes;
  • Prepare for board and committee meetings by collating and distributing management information and agendas;
  • Schedule board and committee meetings;
  • Oversee board and committee membership ensuring conformity with our Corporate Governance Framework (including adherence to maximum terms, board and committee composition and fitness and propriety of members);
  • Understand the responsibilities of the board and committee members and hold them accountable;
  • Orient new board and committee members; and
  • Support the board and committee chairs in all aspects of their roles.
What youll need:
  • A bachelor degree in law, finance, accounting or business with 3 years of relevant experience; or
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
