  • Effective monitoring of contracts
  • Development of transparent tendering schedules and good record keeping
  • Providing advice on the best methods of procurement and contract design.
  • Developing best practicesconcerning commissioning and procurement.
  • Development and operation of the company purchasing system.
Main duties:
  • Develop and advise on contract management strategies.
  • Support the procurement department to promote the most efficient means of procurement activity, including the enhancement of e-procurement systems and processes.
  • Negotiating contract terms and conditions with vendors to ensure that they are in the best interest of the Company.
  • Develop and/or support the draft of new company forms and legal-related policies.
  • The review of the inbound contracts, supplier terms and conditions and other legal documents providing advice to colleagues across the organization on potential legal issues and risks.
  • Drafting and negotiating flow-down contracts, bespoke agreements and a variety of other legal documentation as required.
  • Develop modern procurement and contract management practices.
  • To ensure and develop corporate adherence to best practice contract monitoring procedures to ensure that contractors are achieving and evidencing key tasks, outcomes and performance targets set by the company and have the appropriate work programmes to support them.
  • Communicate key contractual terms to project managers and Procurement manager and support them with the understanding of the contract requirements.
  • Provide periodic reports to the Procurement manager outlining contract and monitoring activity, including financial and contractual performance aspects.
  • Ensure the Company is compliant with the law in relation to its procurement activities.
  • Work with Section Heads, in conjunction with the Legal Department, to ensure that there is a transparent register of contracts.
  • Manage the distribution, recording, filing and archiving of fully executed contracts and amendments.
  • Attend and support meetings with senior management, colleagues and key partners as appropriate.
Other Duties:
  • Liaise with and support other departments to ensure contractual obligations have been fulfilled.
  • Lead legal communications with the Procurement manager offering advice and support.
  • Support the business development team with the provision of legal advice in relation to bid writing and contract negotiation.
