Job Description

A Civil Engineer, or Licensed Civil Engineer, is responsible for overseeing the design and construction of roads, bridges, waterways, sewage treatment plants, and other types of infrastructure. Their duties include using software programs to design structural blueprints, adhering to construction laws and environmental constraints and visiting construction sites to monitor the building process.

  • Contribute to the project development process by preparing effective planning, resource allocation, and implementation blueprint.
  • Examine technical layouts to decide on the next course of action in a project.
  • Analyze the type of raw materials, labor, and miscellaneous costs to ensure the smooth implementation of an engineering project.
  • Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries.
  • Focus on safety standards and regulations during each stage of project development.
  • Support planning, pricing, bidding and tendering for new projects.
