Job Description

An Architect, or Architectural Designer, is responsible for designing buildings to create unique and well-organized structures. Their duties include meeting with clients to discuss their vision, drawing up building plans and modifying their designs throughout the building process to maximize structural integrity.

  1. Develop architectural designs and concepts that meet client requirements, considering functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
  2. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and determine design objectives.
  3. Prepare architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and zoning laws throughout the design and construction process.
  5. Conduct site visits and surveys to assess potential construction limitations and gather necessary data for design development.
  6. Review and evaluate contractor bids, proposals, and contracts to select the most suitable construction partners.
  7. Provide guidance and supervision to architectural staff, ensuring project deliverables are met within established timelines.
  8. Conduct regular project meetings with clients, contractors, and project team members to ensure effective communication and progress tracking.
  9. Collaborate with interior designers and landscape architects to integrate their designs seamlessly into the overall project.
  10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practices in architecture and design.
