Job Description

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONSThe main role of this position is to apply principles of accounting to analyze information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepares profit and loss statements, monthly closing, and cost accounting control costs.?
  2. Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  3. Establishes, maintains, and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  4. Prepares and reviews revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  5. Explains billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors, and clients.
  6. Resolves accounting discrepancies.
  7. Recommends, develops, and maintains financial databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
  8. Supervises the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company?s automated financial systems.
  9. Interacts with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  10. Develops the annual operating budget and consults with departmental management on the fiscal aspects of program planning, salary recommendations, and other administrative actions.
  11. Provides accounting policy orientation for new staff.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
