Job Title: Tactical SATCOM Technician*Location : IraqSecurity Clearance: Position requires an active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearanceDue to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.*** Position is contingent upon contract award. ***Job Responsibilities:Trace Systems is actively seeking an experienced Tactical SATCOM Technician* to join our team in Iraq.Duties include:? Install, operate and maintain Tactical VSAT systems.? Shall install, operate and maintain the SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP) terminal.? Shall install, operate and maintain the Inflatable Satellite Antenna (ISA) terminal.? Shall install, operate and maintain the Micro VSAT terminal? Shall install, operate and maintain the tactical SATCOM radio.? Shall install, operate and maintain the LINKWAY Master Reference Terminal (MRT)/Network Controller.? Shall install, operate and maintain iDirect modems or Hub terminals.? Configure Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) network for Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN).? Install, operate and maintain the WPPL B and D systems.? Configure and integrate COMSEC equipment i.e. KG -175D, KG-175 Classic, KG-250X and KG-175E into all tactical SATCOM systems.? Manage and maintain telecommunication installation supplies.? Maintain daily on-hand inventories.? Provide training on tactical SATCOM equipment when required.? Configure Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) network modems.Minimum Qualifications:This role requires experience working with DSCS or Commercial Satellite Terminals to include:? Knowledge of tactical and commercial satellite communication equipment.? Shall know how to operate Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switch, associated cables, and interconnects; Up Converters, Redundancy Switch; Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Block (LNB); Waveguide (rigid, flex, and elliptical) joints and connections; Intermediate Frequency (IF) cable and connections; Antenna, Antenna motors, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), and associated cabling and interconnects; Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Units; Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS); Generator (if applicable).? Must have technical documentation skills.? Knowledge on how to use Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) equipment; power meter, spectrum analyzer, firebird, volt meter, etc.? Position requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of communications electronic systems or equipment.? Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience operating in a tactical environment operating/maintaining antenna controller, SSPA, LNA/LNB, up and down converters, Fiber optic/Coax/Ethernet Cable, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) modems (satellite modems).? Experience with CodeMettle is required.? Shall have experience and skill with commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures and commercial TDMA/DAMA modems required.? Position requires an active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance? Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is requiredDesired Qualifications:? iDirect or DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is highly desired.Education:? BS Degree in Engineering (Preferred) or An associate s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience,? OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience,?
