Position OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, The Monitoring and Evaluation assistant contributes to enhancing the quality of the IRC Humanitarian Emergency Response programming through ensuring minimum quality standards are applied in monitoring measures. He/she contributes toward the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of IRC. In addition to programmer data management for quality purposes.Job Responsibilities? Conduct data collection like Post Implementation Monitoring, Observations, Market Surveys, Price monitoring, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KII) with different persons of different age groups (children, youth, adults) and different gender.? Entering and cleaning the data from Post implementation monitoring, FGDs, observations and KIIs, participate in data analysis and draft reports.? Support helpdesk to respond and collect beneficiary s feedback through complaint/suggestion box? Conduct field visit to program activities in order observing them? Conduct training for casual workers on data collection methodologies? Provide supervision for quantitative data collection activities? Conduct data quality checks in the field and ensure accuracy and completeness of survey questionnaires? Supervise all M&E Casual workers (Enumerators and Data Entry clerks)? Participate in the baseline, mid-term and end of term evaluations of programmes in accordance with the M&E standards? Ensure that hard copies of data collected is kept at project sites.? Plan with M&E Officer data collection needs and activities.? Prepare informative field reports, identify shortcomings and make relevant recommendations on a regular basis.? Any other relevant task as requiredQualificationsRequirementsEssential:1. A bachelor degree or Diploma preferred in social sciences, statistics or development studies2. At least one year of experience in data collection; including qualitative and quantitative approaches to assessment and monitoring.3. Experience in participatory assessment, monitoring and evaluation, training and facilitation, data processing or analysis4. Excel knowledge; and information dissemination software5. Very good written and spoken English and Kurdish or Arabic.6. Good report writing and information dissemination skills7. Good knowledge of and experience with humanitarian guidelines and principles8. Ability to travel to different project sites as needed.Desirable:1. Good contextual knowledge of local community and social/cultural constraints, realities and organizational relationships for effective project design and implementation.2. Communicates with integrity to different stakeholders- good interpersonal skills with people across a wide social range including project beneficiaries/community members, other IRC staff/managers, government officials etc.3.
