LocationBalad Air Base, IraqClearance LevelAbility to obtainPrimary FunctionLead the development, implementation, monitoring and improvement of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management systems. Provides leadership of the safety, environmental, vector control, and hospital antiseptic management systems programs. Ensures compliance with corporate, local and regulatory requirements .Responsibilities? Supports QHSE (quality, health, safety and environmental) management and project management with the oversight and implementation of the HSE program.? Liaises with project management, clients, customers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance to HSE requirements and guidelines.? Ensures the implementation, updating, review, and auditing of the company hse systems, in accordance with corporate guidelines.? Develop and implement HSE systems and standards to facilitate capture and analysis of HSE statistics.? Provides motivation and familiarization to all company personnel with respect to the importance of complying with company system procedures and all safety equipment provided.? Conducts internal audits as required and provides recommendations for remedial action in line with the strategic mission of the project.? Review and prepare reports in a timely manner, ensuring responses are complete and in compliance with the contract requirements.? Takes part in accident/incident investigations.? Carries out analysis of accident/incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.? Participates in HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.? Performs risk assessments.? Coordinates with the document control team to ensure policies and procedures are properly updated, revised, and controlled.? Other duties as assigned by managementJob Requirements? Bachelor's degree required; HSE-related field, science, or engineering major preferred. Professional experience in HSE-related field can be substituted for non-HSE specific degree focus.? Knowledge and experience in ISO 14001, OSHAs 18001 or ISO 45001, and iso 9001? Experience in the implementation of health, safety and environmental management systems? NEBOSH or OSHA certification preferred? Lead auditor in iso 14001, OSHAs 18001 or iso 45001, or iso 9001 preferred? Membership in a recognized institution relating to HSE preferredPreferred Qualifications? Experience in delivering HSE training, evaluating environmental impacts, and performing incident investigations? 10+ years' working experience in health, safety and environment, six of which in a management capacity? Knowledge of integrated pest management program methodology preferred? Knowledge of occupational and environmental health and safety practices in hospital or medical environments preferred? Previous OCONUS experience preferred? Commitment to overall quality, safety and assurance and the need to reduce incidents within the organization (safety, business, quality and technical)? Very good interpersonal and influencing skills? Clear written and verbal communication skills? Proficient in Microsoft office? Integrity and trust, compassion and respectPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions?
