Job Description

Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldFire Systems LeadThe Fire Systems Lead will be based at one of three PAE sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for directing employees to successfully operate, maintain, and repair all Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Suppression Systems and accessory systems for building interiors and exteriors. The Fire Systems Lead will report to the O&M Manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.DUTIES:? Responsible for maintaining a safeworkplace and ensuring thatsafety is thehighestpriority in the workplace.? Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and QualityAssurancerequirementsand goals. Provideinformation and materials to thesedivisionsasnecessary to ensureadequateand legal documentation.? Inspect,test,maintain, and repair:? Installedfirealarmdetection and suppression systems in accordance with manufacturer'sspecifications and NationalFireProtection Association standards(NFPA).? Ansul Hood suppressionsystems.? All fireextinguishers as required byNFPA.? Compound fire main fromfiremainpumps to theinterior of thebuildings and firehydrants.? Performtests on all exterior and interiorindicating devicestoincludebutnotlimited toaudiospeakers,strobes,bells,horns,pull stations.? Performadditionaldutiesand projects as assigned.REQUIRED:? Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:? Three (3)years experience as a JourneymanFireAlarmSystem Mechanic.? One(1) year experiencewithNationalFire Protection Association standards.Knowledge,Skills,andAbilities:? Knowledge of applicable USCodes and accepted tradepractices.? Good organizational,time management, and communication skillswith the abilitytoexercisesound judgmentand makedecisionsindependently.? Knowledge of principlesand processesinvolved in supporting contractresponsibilities at an overseasfacility.? Abilitytowork in a fast-pacedenvironment that requires handling multipletasks at a giventimeand rapidlyadapting to changingpriorities and schedules.? Cross-culturalsensitivitywith an internationalperspective.? Computerskills,specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.? Abilitytobecome an active and functioningmemberof a team.? Abilitytobeinnovativeandbe an agent for change.? Education: A high schooldiploma or GED.Licensesand Certifications:? Valid drivers license from Home of Record.? Certifiedfor the installedFireAlarm and FireSuppression Systemstoincludebut not limited to Notifierand Ansul, or, bewillingto obtain neededcertificationsunder PAE s terms and conditions.? SecurityVetting: Alreadypossess a US Governmentissued securityclearance or Moderate Risk PublicTrust(MRPT) or beable to obtain a favorableMRPTcertification or US Governmentclearanceprior to being hired is required for the position.Mustmaintain eligibility at the required certification orclearancelevel for theduration of thecontract.? Language Skills: SatisfactoryEnglishproficiencyto meetjob requirementsand to adhere andcomply with safety,health,and securitymeasures.? Citizenship: US Citizenship is required.? Medical: Successfullycomplete and passthemedicaland dentalexaminationsasrequired by PAE and our customer for deploymenttoIraq.Mustmaintain physicaland dentalrequirementsforduration of deployment.DESIRED:? Previoussupervisoryexperience in an OCONUSenvironment with a multi-nationalworkforceisdesirable.? NICETcertification.? Relevantoverseasfirealarmexperience.? Previous out of homecountryexperienceand previousworkexperience in harsh environmentalconditions are a plus.? Experienceworking with PAE.
