Software Engineer, Account Securityat Twilio(View all jobs)Bengaluru, IndiaBecause you belong at Twilio.The Who, What, Why and WhereBangaloreTwilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation phases of cloud-based distributed systems built to seamlessly scale to several million transactions per day.Who?This position is needed to ensure the Account Security Platform Capabilities team we are forming has the right level of technical knowledge and abilities to support building the infrastructure tooling necessary to achieve the goals of the Twilio Flex product.As a SRE/Devops Engineer in our Account Security Platform Capabilities team, you will help develop repeatable and reusable infrastructure implementations that will allow Account Security BU product delivery teams to seamlessly build, test, and deploy their code in ways that allow our product scale globally. You?ll work with a passionate, versatile, and collaborative team, tackling tough problems as we continue to push our technology forward. Additionally, you?ll have the opportunity to influence and implement architectural solutions that will enable us to achieve our goal of being the next generation customer interaction platform.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you?ll:

• Utilize your knowledge of architectural patterns and archetypes to help build mature, distributed, cross-region services
• Create reusable and repeatable infrastructure implementations that delivery teams can leverage to more easily and confidently deliver software to our customers.
• Cultivate a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration with a focus on operational excellence
• Act as a technical leader and a mentor to junior members of the team.
• Focus on ownership and delivery to ensure our team is able to deliver on our commitments.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4-7 years experience building and operating large-scale production systems
• Experience with microservice architectures
• Deep expertise in architecting, building, and operating distributed container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Mesos, or Docker Swarm
• Expertise in Linux internals, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancing technologies
• Deep understanding of architectural patterns of high-scalability distributed systems
• Have led cross-functional teams, large projects, or owned and built an important, complex system
• Experience providing infrastructure as a service using configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
• Proficiency with one of the languages we use daily(Bash, Python, Go, Ruby)
• Experience building and running monitoring infrastructure on a large scale. For example, Terabyte-scale Elasticsearch clusters, Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana, etc
• Strong troubleshooting and monitoring skills with practical experience in modern tools such as Kibana, Datadog, PagerDuty or related.
