Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive) Part 11. Carry out system and hardware maintenance tasks, such as running specialised networkmonitoring and system protection, to ensure technology is running effectively.2. Monitor technology reliability, identify user needs, analyse data and produce accuratereports in order to recommend IT solutions to support informative decision-making.3. Resolve queries independently, escalating if required, to ensure that standard ITquestions are answered and accurate information is provided to staff.4. Provide standard technical training to end users of commonly used technology andsystems, in order to assist WFP staff in conducting their work.5. Provide guidance and training to junior colleagues in the delivery of IT support servicesto support the capability building of staff.6. Support the co-ordination of new application implementation in order to provide WFPstaff with the tools they need to perform effectively.7. Draft standard material such as end-user and technical documentation to ensure staffhave access to required information about IT services and products.8. Implement improvements to methods and processes within the IT division in order tosupport the continuous improvement of IT services provided.9. Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment,to ensure optimal services in compliance with standard operations procedures.10. Coordinate a team of IT staff to ensure individual and team objectives are met incompliance with all relevant regulations and policies.11. Follow set emergency response processes and procedures as required to provide supportin enabling emergency food assistance needs to be met.12. Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive) Part 2

• Deploys the WFP standard SCOPE hardware and software as well as applications andprograms, utilities and auxiliary software.
• Makes sure that equipment assigned to Cooperating Partners, retailers and FSPs areaccounted and tracked appropriately.
• Support the design of the Data Centres network infrastructure and participate in designthe discussions with the counterparts. Install, configure the servers forEnd-Points FleetManagement and Financial Transactions and ensure it is aligned with the policies.
• Performs analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of SCOPE problems for end-users(Registrars, CPs, FSPs, etc.), implementing corrective solutions as required.
• Regularly monitors shared mailboxes, as appropriate, keeping in contact withcooperating Partners on a regular basis. Following up on all pending tickets andworking with the different teams
• Coordinate the collation of a range of complex data, conduct data analysis, including theimpact of changes, and support the development of accurate reports inorder to identifyand recommend solutions.
• Process and streamline the implementation of SCOPE technical changes
• Conduct assessment missions to properly benchmark the availability of power andconnectivity in different governorate locations
• Assist in the preparation of materials and the delivery of trainings on Cash TransferProgramming. Provide trainings and on job coaching to WFP focal points,cooperatingpartners, retailers FSPs and other SCOPE affiliated stakeholders.
• Support the maintenance of systems and hardware by team members to ensuretechnology is running effectively forthe field operation.
• Develop and deploy a variety of documentation and equipment for use by Data Centre staff toensure access is granted as per the pre-developed agreementswith thecounterparts.
• Develop and implement plans for the installation, configuration and monitoring of theservers and improvements methods and processes in order to meetoperationalrequirements.
• Perform other duties when required.
