Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Installation of multiple operating systems such as FreeBSD , Linux centos and Windows platform .on both virtual platform as we as physical hardware in interactive and jumpstart methods. ? Performing various disk and file system managements such as creating slices in linux and partitions in x86 and implementing LVM concepts . ? Installing and managing system Packages and Patches using different unix/linux commands such as RPM , Zypper and Yum . ? Creation of users and groups with different quotas, managing their access permissions and granting them roles using RBAC or ACL using getfacl and setfacl commands. ? Performing services management ( stopping,starting and terminating Os services ) using SMF for unix , RC for linux and Services.msc for x86 machines . ? Configuring multiple RAID levels using SVM in unix and LVM in linux ? Configuring OS networks by Creating and configuring the system NIC and set them with Static IPs also Dynamic IPs by modifying the network scripts. ? Managing System`s Firewall from enabling and disabling the firewall to open specific ports for softwares though IPtables or security options in windows.? Installation of Windows Server Operating System. ? Installing and configuring Active Directory (AD). ? Creation of Domain user accounts and managing their privileges and attributes. ? Applying security and share level permissions. ? Configuring ADC, child domain and new domain tree in existing Forest as well as RODC. ? Implementation of ROLE transfer and ROLE seizing. ? Configuring and applying different group policies. ? Creating different types of Trust Relationships and raising the Functional levels ? Installation of Oracle on Linux, Unix and Windows platforms. ? Creating and Assigning Roles, Privileges and Profiles to Users. ? Maintaining Tablespaces, Storage management, Undo Management. ? Prepare and execute proper backup and disaster recovery procedures. ? Configuration and working with RMAN (Recovery Manager). ? Performing FlashBack recovery to Survive User-Induced Trauma. ? Configuration and maintaining standby databases (Data Guard). ? In-depth knowledge in ASM (Automatic Storage Management) ? Knowledge in cloning using cold backup, hot backup and RMAN. ? Having Knowledge in Database performance monitoring & tuning. ? Setup, Install and configure ESX servers . ? Install and configure production and test virtual environments. ? Install and configure VCenter, HA, VMotion and DRS. ? Configuring vm networking by connecting LAN drops , NICs and vswitches . ? Configuring vm storages and LUN connectors. ? Perform backup procedures using Veem software and bacis virtual machine cloning. ? creating and managing VM snapshots. ? Performing ESXI servers hardware and software upgrades. ? Manage the Somcable`s CRM application, maintain functional areas of data management, contacts, leads, campaigns, opportunities, quotes, dashboards and reports. ? Maintain user roles, security, profiles, complex workflow rules and configurations. ? Identify CRM usage problems and develop technical and communication plans to remedy. ? Maintain system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity. ? Regularly perform database de-duping and cleanup procedures. ? Participate in data integration process with other enterprise applications. ? Manage ongoing support requests and administrative needs of users. ? Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity. ? Responsible for basic installation and technical configuration of the JDE Software, databases, and middleware in multiple environments. ? Provide systems and database administration for the JDE Application technical environments. ? Responsible for basic installing, configuring, administering, tuning and troubleshooting JD Edwards. EnterpriseOne. Handle installs/upgrades of EnterpriseOne and related components. ? Basic OMW installation, setup and project promotions. ? Manage backups, recovery processes and disaster recovery documentation as it relates to JDE EnterpriseOne
