Job Summary:We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced ?Head Accounting and Finance? reporting to the CEO at our Edmonton Corporate Head Office. The Head Accounting and Finance will be responsible for directing and managing the company?s fiscal activities, this will include; financial strategy and management, cash flow and budget control. The Head Accounting and Finance will also be responsible for the full cycle financial planning and the strategic execution to support the organization?s corporate objectives. The successful candidate will provide recommendations to the Senior Management Team, internal business partners and external stakeholders as required to support departmental and company operational performance excellence. Key Responsibilities Include:Provide strategic financial recommendations affecting the organizationLead and manage financial/accounting departments and team members Provide SMT and internal business partners with finance/ accounting solutions to improve operational performance and decision making processesEnhance and manage internal controls to ensure accounting and finance activities are in accordance with government regulatory compliances and company policies and procedures Develop and execute financial corporate strategies that align with the lines of business and overall corporate objectives Preparing, managing and providing recommendations to SMT and internal business partners regarding cash flows, budgets, positive ROI?s, variances and system enhancements that support the business units and company financial performanceLead and manage relationships with external stakeholders (i.e. government, WCB, etc.)Develop forecasting reports analyzing variances and recommending improvements across the organizationManaging the accuracy and timeliness of financial and accounting transactions
