Job Description

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:Execute the service, repair and overhaul of instrumentation equipment in the plant as per approved procedures in support of the operation team and to optimise plant and availabilityKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Be conversant with the HSE requirements. Participate embed and keep upgrading the HSE values within himself, juniors and labourers. Report any unsafe condition or act that may lead to incidents.
  • Execute the inspection, troubleshooting, service, repair and overhaul of all instrumentation equipment in the plant as per approved procedures, making full use of his area of responsibility by regular reading/ studying of manuals, drawings, circuits diagrams, procedures etc.
  • Respond to breakdowns in the shortest possible time
  • Follow the planned maintenance workflow process to execute all work and give accurate and timely feedback after repairs
  • Assist to make sure the necessary material, machinery tools, manuals, circuit diagrams, programs etc. are available for the execution of scheduled and emergency work on time.
  • Monitor and give regular feedback on the applicability and practicability of PMs, SMPs and SOPs. Make sure every tasks is clearly described and make recommendations as to simplify/enhance the quality thereof.
  • Optimized the usage of resources and eliminate waste
  • Train and improve the competency levels of juniors to enhance safety skills, levels, discipline, motivation and productivity.
  • Maintain good relationship with all stakeholders
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Work closely with operators, maintenance planners, maintenance supervisors, operation supervisors, warehouse personnel and HSE coordinators.JOB RELEVANT INFORMATION (BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY):The job holder executes all preventive maintenance routines and emergency work as directed by the planning section within company policy and procedures under the approval of the Supervisor Instrumentation.
