Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare shop drawings based on architectural and engineering drawings.
  2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure accuracy of drawings.
  3. Create detailed drawings for various construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
  4. Review and analyze project specifications and requirements.
  5. Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  6. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines.
  7. Revise and update drawings as necessary.
  8. Communicate and coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
  9. Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions.
  10. Assist in the review of submittals and RFIs.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in shop drawing preparation.
  2. Degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  3. Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
  4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  7. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  8. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  9. Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  10. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
