Job Purpose:The position is responsible for implementing and supervising accounting procedures as well as the administrative and clerical services of the company; With the Objective to ensure effective accounting procedures that are in accordance with international best practices as well as internal standardsKey Responsibilities :Planning & Implementation? Work closely with the Finance Manager to establish the accounting policies and procedures.? Lead the implementation of the accounting procedures.? Facilitate and complete monthly and annual close procedures.? Direct and coordinate daily accounting activities to staff and monitor their performance.? Review vouchers and supporting documents pertaining to transactions for audit trail maintenance.? Monitor the maintenance of the GL in system and ensure its accuracy.? Overlook the accurate and timely recording of income, expenses, receivables and payables.? Resolve complex accounting issues and help other junior members to resolve issues.? Prepare and Review JVs/PVs etc.? Prepare monthly account reconciliations.Compliance? Monitor team members to ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures.? Conduct surprise audits of the accounts department on a regular basis.? Review transactions, bank reconciliation records and other important documentation.? Ensure document approvals in accordance with the authority matrix.? Review accounting procedures on a regular basis to make improvements.Preparation and Review of Management reports? Coordinate with external auditors during the annual statutory audit.? Prepare the consolidated monthly accounts.? Provide the data required by the auditors during the course of external audit.? Prepare monthly record of banking and cash flow activities.Qualifications and Experience :? Bachelors in Accounting? 03 years? experience
