Job Description

On behalf of a well-established Heavy Industry manufacturer of Heat Exchanger and pressure vessels, we are seeking a Purchasing Manager.Located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, you will supervise the day-to-day supply activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of the organization?s supply chain, and to develop and maintain Supplier relations.

  • Provide input into the development of policies and procedures for the Distribution
  • Ensure effective communication with domestic transportation and distribution to ensure timely delivery to the final destination.
  • Ensure that all operational activities meet legislative requirements.
  • Review monthly orders and monitor inventory levels in order to ensure a flawless distribution process.
  • Review the projections of the stock status.
  • Ensure the alignment between the stock shipper for ETA and the DC for stock clearance from the Port.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for documentation control and processes control.
  • Review products allocation processes based on the products transport requirements.
  • Monitor supply process, products specifications, and assist in making recommendations to correct inventory imbalances.
  • Support Operations in a delivery and dispatch process by assisting with order placement, tracking orders, and expediting the shipment of products to the stores.
  • Review products flow parameters and recommend appropriate levels to support business and customer requirements.
  • Performs Material planning exercise, by obtaining sales forecasts, productions forecasts. Place materials orders accordingly.
  • Place orders for Raw material from Local and overseas markets.
  • Find new sources of raw materials, local and international.
  • Must be very knowledgeable in sourcing from overseas, Europesuppliers.
  • Purchase contracts negotiations.
  • Understand LCs and LC terms and bank negotiations, to avoid discrepancies
  • Handle customs clearance with clearance agents. Find new offices to perform customs clearance.
  • Knowledgeable in obtaining Duties exemptions, and in duties exemptions reimbursements and follow up with authorities.
  • Handle all local procurements and contractual agreements.
