1. Disassembles and inspects rotating equipment to determine repair requirements 2. Completes inspection reports determining scrap, refurbishment or replacement of components 3. Using various pneumatic tools, hand tools, acetylene torch, drill press and surface grinder required to disassemble and assemble rotating equipments 4. Tests and dynamically balances rotating elements to W4/N. 5. Reads complex engineering blueprints, drawings and diagrams 6. Ensures that machinery and test equipment is functioning properly 7. Performance routine maintenance on machinery and test equipment 8. Performs housekeeping tasks as required 9. Meets quality and specification standards 10. Ability to validate equipment meets the specification for required service 11. Uses various precision measurement devises 12. Calculates various mathematical formulas to determine part dimensions and tolerances 13. Follows safety and environmental rules, company policies and procedures in carrying out duties 14. Serves as a knowledge resource for less experiences fitters and trains them as and when required 15. On occasions may require to support field activities. 16. May on occasions be required to travel
