1. Ensures the completion of assignments as required by the turnaround plan2. Coordinates with other maintenance departments for specialist areas to ensure full completion of maintenance plan3. Ensure the availability of required resources (material and manpower) to carry out all turnaround responsibilities related to the team4. Reviews for direct reports, identify and ensure they acquire required turnaround expertise5. Ensure day-to-day work is performed effectively, efficiently, and safely Participates in budgeting and cost estimates for turnaround activities6. Develop, review and update the work instructions and working procedures related to turnaround, communicate updates and instructions when required7. Manages and motivates team within department and acts as a champion for all company policies and procedures particularly in the areas of human resources and health and safety8. Communicate with area planner to make sure that the scope of work is well understood and communicated to the contractor.9. Ensures that adequate provision is made for the availability of spare parts and materials for all maintenance work including the periodic review of stores ?stock holdings?, and the identification of ordering of direct materials.10. Carries out technical reviews of all shutdown/turnaround & plant modifications work in accordance with company codes and practices.11. Reviews test procedures and compile the necessary documentation. Updates technical data of all mechanical equipment12. Carries out the Technical review & approval of all materials for the Turn Around, ensures materials comply with company standards and are correct specification for the duty. Performs technical evaluation of material bids including technical clarification to bidders through Procurement Department.13. Review & Prepare Method statement, identify major Turnaround activities, conduct Task Risk assessment (TRA), contribute in HAZOP meeting and takes an active part in HAZOP proceedings as mechanical specialist.14. Ensure that execution of scope is done as per the standards and in the best efficient method.
