Communicative with the operations coordinator and project manager to receive and provide data and updates regarding on-going projects.
Conduct periodically meetings with the operation team to communicate updates on work, processes, quality, complaints and any necessary safety issues to keep the team updated
Reports to maintenance crew when vehicles require maintenance or if the maintenance supervisor is required for especially complicated repairs to ensure smooth operations
Surveys the possible route or access to destination to gather necessary data for consideration on cargo dimension.
Patrol work areas frequently to monitor transportation productivity levels of operation team and to examine tools and equipment, in order to maintain the safety of operations and the proper adherence to established procedures.
Directs the assembly of the trailers and carriers to ensure adherence to engineering designs, LHL quality/safety standards and client requirements
Arranges for the requisite security measures and crew in cases of valuable shipments to minimize loss and manage risk.
Prepares equipment, tools and manpower required for project?s exaction.
Engage in the requisition of materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts as is required.
Plans and schedule assignments/ tasks, based on their priority, quantity of equipment available and skill level of operation.
Follows & supervise the execution of the project from the arrival of the shipment through to the delivery of the shipment.
Coordinates with the operations crew to plan the pick-up and delivery of the shipment efficiently and as per LHL quality standards.
Determines if LHL has the requisite competency, capacity and manpower to tackle each project.
Monitors training levels of the operation team and communicate concerned issues about needed training to the direct or related supervisor/manager.
Follows procedures of reporting on performance, and other reports required from time to time to the Branch Manager or the Operations Superintendent.
