Job Description

An Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of oil and gas facilities in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This role requires a strong understanding of oil and gas processes, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. The Operations Engineer will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to optimize production and minimize downtime. This position also requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as the Operations Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of the operations team.Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to optimize production.
  2. Coordinate and supervise the activities of the operations team to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  3. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and reliable operations.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and production losses.
  5. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to plan and execute equipment maintenance and repairs.
  6. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  7. Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  8. Provide training and mentorship to operations team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure operational excellence.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in oil and gas operations.
  3. Strong knowledge of oil and gas processes and equipment.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  5. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead a team.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  8. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the oil and gas industry.
  9. Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies.
  10. Proficiency in using operational software and tools.
