Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources
Plan and implement specific actions, in accordance with the Sales & Marketing Manager to improve customer service, and produce profitable sales
Identify customer sales potential, credit risks, and other important facts or impressions
Report sales potential, credit risks, and other important facts or impressions to the Sales & Marketing Manager on regular basis
Provide coverage of all assigned customers and develop additional sales in the total geographic territory and market segments assigned
Follow Sales Dept. policies and procedures for pricing levels and selling policies
Maximize profitability and minimize risk in each selling opportunity
Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talk with customers on sales floor or by phone
Use the selling tools provided by TME such as company car, expense account, product samples, and support of branch employees, in a cost effective manner
Develop relationships and negotiate favorable pricing, credit, and delivery terms with approved suppliers
Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes sellable features
Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of manufacturer production and delivery schedules
Prepare reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts
Continually improve product knowledge and selling skills through independent study and training provided by TME
Develop a team working relationship between all employees
Track stock levels (If any)
Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database
Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts
Investigate and resolves customer problems with deliveries
Attend trade shows
Assist the Financial Controller, Administration Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager in exercising TME policies as they pertain to the extension of credit, the collection of accounts receivable, the attainment of acceptable days outstanding, and the minimization of potential losses
Make reports and proposals to TME management that improve the overall performance of TME, limit impending problems or losses, and expose unethical behavior.
Report results and unusual situations to Branch Manager
Participate in the implementation and the continual improvement of the quality management system ISO 9001:2008
Exceed or at least meet the Sales Target set by the Sales & Marketing Manager in an effort to achieve the overall Sales Target assigned on the Sales & Marketing Dept. by the Board
Sales:
Develop and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets
Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
Develop pricing schedule and rates
Travel throughout the assigned area, to call on regular and prospective customer to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone
Check on competitive activity and develops new methods to improve sales
Investigate lost projects and customer accounts
Assists with the planning of sales exhibits
Prepare and present sales reports to management
Business Relations?:
Maintain the best business relationship with clients
Keep informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
Attends trade shows and utilize them to build business relations
Resolve some non-engineering project issues during the execution of the project to keep the business relation healthy.
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
Strategy & Planning:
Manage recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
Search for New Business Opportunities
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company?s customer base and ensure its strong presence
Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Staff Development:
Identify areas of improvement in his/her subordinates (if any) and ensure their continuous growth
Coach and provide formal and informal positive constructive feedback to ensure that work is carried in an efficient manner
Recommend training needs to bridge staff skill gap
