Job Description

Strategic Planning and Performance Management:?ÿContribute to the development of the transport strategy by developing the annual fleet plan to ensure that the activities performed are aligned to the overall transport strategy.?ÿMonitor the performance of the fleet department and prepare periodic reports on its overall performance to ensure performance deviations are identified and reported in a timely manner and that actions are adjusted to achieve the set annual plans.ÿBudget Preparation:?ÿContribute to the preparation of the fleet budget, and monitor the financial performance of the fleet activities versus set budget to ensure alignment with set budget guidelines.Policies & Procedures:?ÿDevelop policies processes and procedures pertaining to fleet department and manage their implementation to ensure adherence and fulfilment of all relevant requirements.ÿÿDay-to-day Operations:?ÿManage the day-to-day operations of the fleet department providing guidance in the related area, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and ensure that employees? activities are performed in a timely, efficient and effective manner.ÿFleet Management:?ÿOversee the utilisation of the fleet to ensure availability, faster turnaround, safe operation which leads to maximising internal customer satisfaction and maximising utilization.?ÿManage the company vehicle fleet and ensure timely monitoring of all activities such as registration, insurance, maintenance, repairs etc. in order to ensure that the vehicles are maintained to the required standards while adhering to Bakhashab guidelines, legal and procedural requirements.Fleet Maintenance:?ÿManage the establishment and maintenance of fleet management systems including PC-based access and intranet systems, working with the IT function to optimise the use of IT in the transportation function.?ÿEnsure that all vehicles are serviced timely, efficiently and in a cost effective manner to maintain the availability of vehicles for transportation of assets at all times.Tracking Control:?ÿEnsure the tracking of trucks in order to maintain a proper control on a periodic basis as well as monitoringÿtraffic incidents by takingÿnecessary corrective actions to improve performance.?ÿDirect activities related to dispatching, routing or tracking transportation vehicles in order to ensure effective and efficient fleet utilization.Data Management:?ÿEnsure effective maintenance of fleet data in order to support daily tracking and management decision making, while ensuring timely availability of resources to facilitate operations.Asset Management:?ÿLead the development and implementation of the asset management strategy in order to ensure Bakhashab maximizes its short, medium and long term profitability and returns to its shareholders.Continuous Improvement:?ÿStimulate team members and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ?international best practice?, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.Health, Safety & Environment:ÿEnsure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the human resources function to guarantee employee safety, security legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.People ManagementÿEnsure all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented Saudi national staff.
