Job Description

On behalf of one of the largest hospitals in the region (Saudi Arabia) with a mission to provide world-class health care with a world-class health system, we have an opening for a Consultant of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.Carry out obstetrics and Gynaecologic health care, both on an in-patient and outpatient basis. General Surgical Procedures. All Gynaecological Surgery Cases ? Instrumental, vaginal deliveries and Caesarean Deliveries, high-risk pregnancies including major medical disease complicating pregnancy.

  • Providing surgical care with both in the operating room and in the OPD for Gynaecologic and obstetric conditions for both emergency and planned procedures.
  • Covering the Delivery Room as 2nd on call to include seeing the admitted patients, reviewing their history, planning a course of action, performing operative deliveries, and occasionally spontaneous deliveries when requested.
  • Covering the Emergency Service as 2nd on call by promptly responding to calls for consultation from the Resident.
  • Providing out-patient care in Clinics.
  • Doing and interpreting ultrasound examinations both in the hospital and on an outpatient basis.
  • Carrying out formal and informal consultations with physicians in other departments of the hospital.
  • Interacting with patients? families to keep them informed of the patients condition, changes in condition and plans.
  • Carrying out other duties when requested by the Chief such as chart review, presenting talks and sharing in educational activities.
  • Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities.
