Job Description

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Internal Auditor to join our team in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. The Assistant Internal Auditor will be responsible for assisting the Internal Auditor in conducting audits of the companys financial statements, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Internal Auditor in planning and executing audits of the companys financial statements, policies, and procedures.
  2. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of the companys internal controls and identify areas of improvement.
  3. Perform testing and analysis of financial data to identify potential risks and control weaknesses.
  4. Prepare audit workpapers and documentation to support audit findings and recommendations.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of audit programs and procedures.
  6. Conduct interviews with company personnel to gather information and assess internal control processes.
  7. Assist in the preparation of audit reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in regulatory requirements.
  9. Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and operational efficiencies.
  10. Assist in the follow-up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing or related field.
  2. Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or CPA is preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  9. Experience with data analytics and audit automation tools is a plus.
  10. Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
