Job Description

An Assistant Civil Engineer is responsible for assisting in the planning, designing, and construction of various civil engineering projects. They work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in civil engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, and buildings.
  2. Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project feasibility.
  3. Prepare technical drawings and specifications.
  4. Perform calculations and analysis to ensure project compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  5. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to coordinate project activities.
  6. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines.
  7. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues or challenges.
  8. Assist in the selection and procurement of materials and equipment.
  9. Ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  10. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure project deliverables meet specifications.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering.
  3. Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work well in a team environment.
  7. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  8. Understanding of relevant safety and regulatory standards.
  9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
