We approach philanthropy as a catalyst for innovation in education and for achieving sustainable development.Project Outline:The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education supports youth throughout the Arab region. As an organization based in Dubai, AGFE has a special interest in supporting Emirati and Arab youth in the UAE. The foundation is now looking to augment its portfolio of local programming beyond its flagship ??Young Thinkers Program??, and would like to design new programs that support skill building amongst local youth who have exited the education system early, or who do not pursue higher education.We seek an independent consultant to drive the concept and design of new programming as described. The consultant would be primarily responsible for delivering the business case process that clearly outlines the target audience, the key outcomes, the operational costs, critical partnerships, and other crucial elements. The consultant would work alongside foundation staff who bring experience in this area, and who would eventually be responsible for executing the designed program.TimelineThe project would ideally kick off in mid-September 2019 and is expected to require 3 months to complete There is a possible extension period to support the ??standing up?? of approved programming.Knowledge & ExperienceIntimate knowledge of the UAE education system and/or the development of Emirati youth.A keen understanding of Emiratization and the UAE labor market is a plus.Own set of contacts to draw upon while conducting market research is a strong advantage.It is crucial for the consultant to have the skills necessary to prepare an analytical framework prioritizing programming possibilities, and for publishing a logical business case defining select project concepts to the board of trustees.Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.Passion for the Foundation?s mission.Possess a positive attitude, model a mature and professional demeanor and have an excellent work ethic.This position is a remote work position, preferably based in UAE.
