Job Description

Our Finance Managers ensure senior managers remain commercially focused and can make strategic business decisions based on accurate and timely information.The main purpose of this role is to ensure our eCom teams are provided with the necessary commercial finance support to deliver their objectives. We operate a multitude of digital commerce channels (Full stack sites, eCom lite, marketplaces and Cross-border) across multiple brands and geographies.In this role you will produce regular and ad hoc reports as well as analyze information and proactively investigate any additional management information requirements.This is a varied and diverse role which will enable you to make a valuable contribution to the growth of Alshaya as a whole.As Finance Manager you will be responsible for providing relevant, timely and accurate financial and management information to senior management in adherence with strict deadlines. Responsibilities include:Annual Business plan and forecastsWork in conjunction with brand and eCom teams to build robust annual Business Plan based on previous, current, and forecasted financial performance and market information.Assist Vice President to present final budgets to the CEO and CFOEnsure that KPIs (Targets) are achieved tactfully and strategically.Assess performance results for accuracy and use information to interpret and build models for future performance.Identify critical success factors and the Key performance indicators for the business.Review and report budgets against trading performance periodically i.e. daily, weekly, or annually on the KPI`s.Focus on maximising business opportunities and market potentials.Provide financial and strategic advice to Vice President and Senior leadership.Contribute to the Business decision-making process by undertaking detailed decision support analysis for brand, channel and country profitability and ongoing costs reviews.Provide sound financial and strategic advice to Leadership team to support critical business decisions.Critical business decisions may include new brands, new channel, or market enhancements.Re-forecasts contribution expectations to highlight most probable performance on a periodic basis.Deliver feedback and coaching to the Brands / eCom team where necessary.Report lagging and leading performance indicators to highlight performance issues andConcerns for the Business Managers for them to act quickly and appropriately.Illustrate results, trends or conditions, which impact profitability.Skills and Experience:Qualified Chartered Accountant from Big 4 firmsA minimum of 4-5 years experience in Commercial eCom Finance is a must.Strong Excel & PowerPoint SkillsExperience with working on ERP systemsExperience within retail or FMCG sectors preferredStrong communication skillsRetail is a fast-paced industry and working in a financial role in this environment calls for candidates who can work quickly and accurately, think ahead, and react to change.
