Where you choose to work is up to you ? we have an office in Dubai and Abu Dhabi that you can utilize as often or little as youd like.We are looking for an experienced accountant to oversee Sarwas accounting operations. You will play an impactful role in Sarwas growth and success by ensuring that all financial records and reporting are up to standard, updated and maintained regularly.To be successful in this role, you will provide timely and accurate financial information to Sarwa?s key decision makers to improve financial results, attract capital, ensure compliance with applicable accounting laws, regulations and procedures, and support growth.As Sarwas primary internal accountant, your role will have high ownership and accountability, with many opportunities for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.This might be a right fit if you:

• Previous experience as an Accountant with DFSA/FSRA Regulated Firm
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the IFRS
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Data driven with strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Certification (CPA/ACCA/ICAEW)
• Previous experience in banking, consulting or fintech startup is a plus

• Maintaining updated books of accounts using Quickbooks and ensuring proper analysis of transactions.
• Processing of salaries, DEWS and employees? reimbursements through ENBD online banking, for authorised signatories? approval.
• Payment processing of suppliers? invoices through ENBD online banking, for authorised signatories? approval.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and supporting schedules for Finance Officer?s review prior to SEO?s review and approval.
• Preparation of Budget vs. Actual Analysis Report for Finance Officer?s review prior to SEO?s review, approval, and onward submission to the investors.
• Quarterly VAT returns preparation and filing.
• Assisting the operations team and CTO in respect of Client Money Bank Reconciliation and preparing the reconciliation report from Quickbooks for Finance Officer?s review.
• Providing supporting accounting documents as requested by external and internal auditors.
• Assist HIO with ESOP management
• Assist SEO with runway management and analysis
• Preparation of analysis to assist with contract negotiations
• Assist with salary benchmarking and analysis
• Treasury management including monitoring FX between USD/AED accounts
• Measure marketing ROI
