Job Description

We are looking for Network Manager for Jebel Ali -Dubai , UAE? Manages the day-to-day administrative activities associated with the Internet, Intranet, local area network, Wi-Fi, wide area network and connection to all of the above via wireless, broadband and dial up connectivity.? Monitors the compliance to the enterprise?s security policies.?Provides project tracking to ensure the project and day-to-day work schedules are being met versus the timeline defined by the Central team? Monitors and reports any and all violations to the enterprise?s security policies and procedures.? Writes network documentation manuals and network procedure manuals ? Tracks requests for network access, security requests, computing equipment, de-installations, relocation, and installations as well as any other related requests ?Administer network workstations, utilizing one or more TCP/IP or non-TCP/IP networking protocols and/or one or more UNIX-based or non-UNIX based operating systems. ?Evaluates and/or recommends purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software; ? Investigates user problems, identifies their source, determine possible solutions, tests and implements solutions. ?Installs, configures, and maintain personal computers, Novell networks, UNIX workstations, file servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures modems, disk drives, data acquisition boards, printers, and related equipment. ? Performs and/or oversee software and application development, installation, and upgrades associated with network administration. ? Plans and implements network security, including building firewalls (with the Central team), applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users. ? Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. ? Anticipates communication and networking problems and implements preventive measures. ?Ensures timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on network availability. ? Investigates, recommends and installs enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability. ?Maintains confidentiality about the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network. ? Documents network problems and resolutions for future reference.
