Senior MEP Planning Engineer

Roles & ResponsibilitiesDevelop, update, and maintain detailed MEP project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, ensuring alignment with the approved master programme, project milestones, and contractual requirements.Prepare and monitor Baseline Programmes, Recovery Programmes, Look-Ahead Schedules, S-Curves, manpower histograms, and resource-loaded schedules.Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline schedule, analyze variances, identify critical and delayed activities, and recommend corrective and recovery actions.Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, progress measurement, productivity monitoring, and forecasting to ensure timely completion of MEP works.Coordinate with Project Managers, MEP Engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and other disciplines to ensure proper sequencing and integration of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting works.Review MEP drawings and construction sequences from a planning and constructability perspective, identifying potential constraints or clashes that may impact the project schedule.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, KPIs, and progress presentations for management and clients.Conduct delay analysis, maintain records of schedule impacts, and provide planning support for EOT claims and contractual submissions.Monitor manpower, materials, procurement, and subcontractor activities against the project schedule and highlight potential risks or delays.Attend progress and coordination meetings and provide accurate schedule updates, forecasts, and recommendations to the project management team.Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.Minimum 8?10 years of relevant experience in MEP planning and scheduling within the construction/contracting industry.Proven experience in planning and monitoring large-scale MEP projects, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting works.Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; good knowledge of MS Project is preferred.Strong experience in Baseline Programmes, Recovery Programmes, Look-Ahead Schedules, Critical Path Analysis, S-Curves, and Resource Loading.Proven experience in progress monitoring, delay analysis, forecasting, and EOT support.Strong understanding of MEP construction sequences, project controls, and coordination.UAE/GCC experience in MEP contracting is highly preferred.Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
