Senior Network Architect

Job Description

Overview The Senior Network Architect position is responsible for designing the Enterprise/Service provider networks. There will be participation in CLIENT related discussions and design reviews. The Network Architect will produce design recommendations for upgrades and drive future network functionality and architectures. Additional tasks are to collect operational and trend statistics and to analyze performance results.Roles & Responsibilities:? Capacity and performance management of existing infrastructure Requirement gathering and preparing business case documents? Develop design documents which includes, BoD, HLD, LLD, NIP and NRFU? Recommend the new technologies in the Data Centre which best fits the purpose? Design Data Centre and campus networks operable networks to support real-time protocols? Continuously Assess and Analyze the Network performance and advise the solutions to the management on how to optimize the current infrastructure/services? Prepare technical Request for Proposal documents for the required products/services? Develop standards, procedures and other documentation? Participate in cross-functional product engineering and marketing design forums? Provide expert level technical advice to the operations.? Continuously identify and leverage new technologies or methodologiesQualifications & Skills:Experience (10 years) on design and Implementations of large, high-availability, global enterprise networks /Multi-vendor experience preferred/Executing best practice concepts including RFCs and ISO standards, SLAs, change managementSubject Matter Expert:? IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS? IPv4 knowledge required and IPv6 knowledge a plus? IP fundamentals including packet level analysis? Network protocols including TCP, UDP, HTTP,HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SIP, RTP? Network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, load-balancing, security? Network applications including VolP, video, encryption, content delivery? Network security including firewalls, URL filtering, Traffic management, proxies, ACL, IPsec, SSL/TLS, IPS/IDS v/ Network features including VRRP, LACP, STP, QoS, load balancing, anycast JOB DESCRIPTIONPhysical layer including Ethernet, optical OCX, SONET, Tl/T3, Fiber ChannelHardware experience including Juniper, Cisco, F5 and Fortinet products? Working knowledge: o Network management tools including OpenNMS, CiscoPrime, JunOS Spaceo Telephony including PSTN, voice and video over IPo Multi-media collaboration and other real-time content deliveryo Leading-edge SDN and NFV developmentso Datacenter and POP design and Implementationo Enterprise/Service Provider Networks? Familiarity:o Linux, Unix and Windows internalso Server hardware and network storageo Server and application virtualization including VMware, KVM, Docker Non-IP network protocols a plusEducation and Personal:? B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific disciplines (equivalent experience will be considered) v/ Expert level industry certification (e.g.,CCDE,CClE,JNClE) a plus? Function well in a team as well as individually? Excellent written and oral communications skills.
