Senior Infrastructure Engineer Task and Responsibilities- Provide Infrastructure designProvide high-level technical advice on creating and maintain regional infrastructure Master plans (Utilities) in liaison with the Urban Planners. Provide interdisciplinary co-ordination between different utilities networks to produce a cohesive infrastructure master plan. Write clear reports and present options and recommendations. - Develop Infrastructure policesDevelop policies for water, wastewater and/or power systems and the integration of utilities plot in the land use plan. Asses the infrastructure requirement of new developments to inform local authority development plans.- Coordinate on Infrastructure MattersLiaise with all Staff of Urban Planning Development Sector (UPDS), other government departments, Utility providers and developers and their consultants, to ensure successful progression of infrastructure policies.- Project deliveryThe design of infrastructure networks in co-ordination with the Urban Planners and establishing phasing and coordination of infrastructure delivery across the whole municipality in accordance with national policies and strategies- PerformanceHelp to create an enabling culture in which staff are inspired and strongly motivated to take a ?hands-on? and ?can-do? approach, reacting rapidly to new initiative, meeting planned targets in a high-performance environment.Skills- Writing clear reports and good communication style- Infrastructure expert at public and planning workshops- Ability to check design drawing and calculation input and update network as per design developments- Knowledge of utilities network simulation modeling and analysis will be an advantage (Software InfoWorks SD and WS, EpaNet, HecRas, etc.)- GIS Background Knowledge of using GIS Systems (ESRI Product) is an advantageRequired Experience- Over 15 years full time experience in planning and design of infrastructure projects- Manage or participated in the preparation of infrastructure master plan at a regional planning scale, as part of a multi ? disciplinary master planning team.- Participated in or followed up studies and projects, often with tight time and budget limits. Education- At least a Bachelor degree in civil engineering. MS Degree in related fields will be an advantage.
