Job SummaryManage and oversee the Fleet maintenance management, including road construction machinery & quarry earth moving equipment (dozers, loaders, crawler & hydraulic cranes, trucks, asphalt pavers & profilers, asphalt milling machines, quarry crushing & screen plants). Develop & implement predictive & preventive maintenance, performance evaluation, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of engines, transmissions, hydraulic & auxiliary systems.Essential Job Function:Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed efficiency and productivity of the workshop and maintenance/repair teams.Maintain a computerized maintenance management system to control maintenance activities and implementation of a preventive maintenance program.Develop and monitor on a monthly basis the schedule of work, associated budget for the areas of responsibility, monitor performance against this, initiating corrective action where necessary to ensure workshop operations are conducted within the agreed financial parameters.Ensure that all the workshop functions are staffed with the requisite numbers and caliber of staff to meet its objective and that they are developed and motivated and encouraged to maximize their capability and contribution.Responsible for allocating and distributing the maintenance teams for the urgent repairs and scheduled preventive maintenances.Coordinate with third party the equipment?s inspection as per client?s requirements and make sure to get the required certificates on time.Ensure efficient workshop use of materials, equipment and labor so service and repairs are carried out to the highest quality standards.Evaluate the impact of work delays, interruptions or changes in plans due to Machine Downtime and develop appropriate alternative courses of action.Follow safe working practices and conditions within your department, be aware of fire, safety, and protection equipment/hazards and Ensure all potential safety hazards are corrected.Responsible for appropriate actions in the event of incidents within the maintenance sectionResponsible for the speedy availability of suitable manpower, adequate tools and materials in events of incidents.Plans coordinate and make recommendation to improve workshop department and staff performance.Monitor technician's productivity.Ensure In-house as well as onsite Job of equipment as and when required.Ensure Inventory of Goods is in Place.Ensure Maintenance Logs for Various Equipment are in place.Ensure maintenance /service requests are followed up on and completed on time.Coordinates with key subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective relationships.
