This role is responsible to handle legal matters within the scope of the company?s Legal Department activities through providing legal services in an effective and professional manner as may be required for the purpose of smooth running of legal operations. The key contribution of this role is to undertake and maintain company patents and trademarks registration, draft and review contracts and agreements. The role is heavily oriented towards review of non-standard and requested amendments to standard tender and contracts documents. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:? To ensure that legal aspects of the tender and contract documents, distributorship and sales agreements are maintained in a fair, ethical and legal manner to meet the company?s requirements. To efficiently utilise the available resources and make significant contributions towards the achievement of the set objectives.? Participate in review and negotiations of engineering, construction, services and maintenance contracts.? Control and update standard format for tender and contracts documents, distributorship and sales agreements.? Provide advice on matters as assigned by the Department Manager with respect to tenders, contracts, claims, leases and labor and employment contracts issues. ? Participate in discussions and advise on /resolve legal and related issues as raised by Department Managers and Project Coordinators on outsourcing of services, materials and equipment.? Keep valid company corporate certificates, licenses and registrations as required by the relevant laws and regulations.? Communicate with courts, judicial tribunals and government agencies when so required.
