Position Summary:ROLE OBJECTIVEAccountable and Responsibility for Network and Security Infrastructure related activities such as installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of the Network and Security components servers and other related application such as Security application, Networking application and hardware. Ensure maximum security, operational continuity and contingency controls for the all the components to ensure that the network & security performance meets business and user needs.Role Description:Key Responsibilities/KRAs/KPIs: FINANCIAL?Work with the IT department to analyze alignment of existing systems to business requirements and propose upgrades and enhancements to maximize efficiency of the organization as appropriate? Ensure the total cost of ownership on all Network & Security related component across enterprise?Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve problems or errors encountered with the Network & Security Infrastructure, application related to these components.? Upgrade and replace defective components (as and when necessary) in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to business operations as well as escalate problems as necessary?Notify users of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability in a timely manner to ensure minimum impact on Bank?s operations and processing activities?Anticipate potential communication and networking problems and implement preventive measuresCUSTOMER?Offer a professional, friendly, efficient and effective customer service to all employees on a consistent basis?Build and maintain strong and effective relationships across all IT departments to further knowledge?Work as a focal point of contact for all IT Network & Security related needs of the users.?Develop good relationships with external vendors to negotiate high quality and cost-effective services and purchases?Ensure to follow the compliances requirement to address all the issuesINTERNAL?Install, set-up, configure, and maintain network , communication and Security components Software?s related and equipment according to the overall objectives of the Bank?Properly administer the overall network & security architecture to ensure bank safety , security and availability of the network & security infrastructure?Control network devices/components and coordinate network access and use?Determine the design requirements for the bank Network and Security Topology.?Monitor network equipment for outages, traffic problems and service levels, and provide problem resolution when needed?Back-up network and communication software, hardware, components configuration files and logs on a regular basis, according to the Bank?s Information Technology policies and procedures, standards, and guidelines. Design Firewall and Intrusion Protection security into the Data Center environment?Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair, replacement or enhancement?For all developments, upgrades and enhancements produce high quality documentation / business case, setting out design approach, a project plan and resource requirements to meet project timelines?Maintain equipment or coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure high availability and service levels?Perform routine network component startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records?Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records?Maintain current documentation including logical and physical network designs and layout diagrams?Maintain inventories of network devices/components, network software, communication software?Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operations and system availability and performance expectations?Seek to identify solutions to all existing network and system problems?Gather data pertaining to user needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements?Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information?Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required.?Implement and Manage all the security components in MARLEARNING & DEVELOPMENT?Operate as a team player within the Infrastructure team and across the wider IT division.
