Job Description

The IT Manager will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our IT Systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines, providing a strategic overview to meet future business and system needs whilst managing a team to ensure seamless service. The IT Manager will oversee any Information System installations ensuring backup systems operate effectively. Purchasing software and hardware providing the Information Technology infrastructures for head office and contribute to organizational policy regarding quality standards and strategic planning related to IT systems. The incumbent is also involved in providing IT Support for the inventories, maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems for entering the records and is accountable for checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders

  • Hire, source, and train new IT employees, introducing them to the organizational standards and guidelines.
  • Develop information technology strategies and services in line with the organisations overall strategy and objectives.
  • Define a structured information technology infrastructure with well-defined guidelines and policies.
  • Safeguard the organizations data with adequate cyber-security measures.
  • Communicate regularly with department heads and users of IT systems to identify any issues, concerns or requirements that can then be planned and coordinated as required
  • Control and maintenance of CCTV systems and follow up any incident with relevant reports
  • Planning, developing and implementing the IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Lost Prevention Analysis, Reports, Anti-Theft Systems and Projects to reduce the losses
  • Analyze information effectively in a manner to aid in competitive advantage through development of differentiated features i.e: recommendations for effective communications internally and externally
  • Anticipates internal clients needs and proposes alternative business solutions
  • Assisting jewellery operations team by requesting and granting MOI approvals for the Jewellery division
  • Ensures that support for around-the-clock information transfer, storage, and processing is timely, efficient and
  • meets the service levels required
