The role The Data Scientist position is a key element to achieve the goals of the company. Big Data energy analytics is an increasing line of activity with business critical applications across the whole energy value chain. Being part of a selected international team, we are looking for a self-driven, highly innovative and team-builder individual with a passion for innovation. The position may involve occasional travel to mainly Middle East countries. Qualifications and experience ? MSc Degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science or similar by a renowned international university with original research track record on big data; PhD degree is a very strong plus; ? At least 3-year experience in industry or research; ? Functional expertise in distributed computing, statistical modelling, machine learning and big data technologies; ? Expert level in statistics and machine learning packages (i.e. R, Python, Matlab) and big data environments (i.e. Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, ...) ? Fluent in English is essential. Keeping the need of the business preference is for fluent Arabic and/or Spanish speaking candidates.
