Facilities Manager Job description General overview:The role of the Facilities Manager is to essentially look after all the assets of the group from an operations and management perspective, as well as from a customer focus perspective. Duties and responsibilities: ? Ensuring seamless coordination and operations effectiveness amongst all the assets of the group. ? Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, parking, and cleaning, catering, technology.? Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, grounds and security? Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.? Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.? Advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.? Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments.? Drafting reports and making written recommendations to management.? Input into the design of a new buildings to ensure that facilities are able to be delivered in the most effective way.
