Purpose of the jobTo ensure that customers get exactly what they ordered and in good condition by performing all the tasks associated with the running of the Warehouse, including receipt, storage and the dispatching of all finished goods. The position will also maintain a safe and clean working environment as per the company?s Operational Excellence Standards, Policies & Procedures.Key AccountabilitiesOrder Picking & LoadingResponsible for consolidating customer orders within the temperature controlled Ambient, Frozen and Chilled chambers.Finished goods orders are transferred to the assigned staging zones and ready to be checked, confirmed and dispatched.Maintain Sales Van order accuracy by ensuring items are counted and rotated properly during the loading operations by carrying out cycle counts on all ?Van Stocks? as instructed.RepackingRepackage orders and or deliveries that require such handling when necessary and report quality and quantity variances to the storekeeper.QualityEnsure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage in order to minimize market returns.EquipmentOperate forklifts and pallet movers for all warehouse activities.Do regular pre-operational checks of all equipment by inspecting and performing all minor maintenance on a daily basis.Material Handling Equipment (MHE) should always be in good working condition, kept clean in appearance and always remember to report defects and or damages to the Storekeepers or Supervisors.Inventory ControlEnsure stock integrity always by accurately updating all inventory transactions using the Warehouse Management SystemEnsure cycle counting of all locations confirms to quantity, product quality and expiry date.Completing the end of year stock update using the Warehouse Management System.Safety & SecurityMaintain a clean work area according to company standards and assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct all operational tasks in a manner that promotes safety.General AssistanceProvide additional assistance and or do tasks on the request of the Storekeeper and or Supervisor to ensure the smooth and safe running of all Warehouse Operations.
