Purpose:Perform field service tasks related to installation; changing, commissioning, upgrading and troubleshooting of Variable Speed Drive (VSD) equipment in the field efficiently in order to deliver satisfactory service expectations to maintain required service levels, and reduce downtime within APC?s operational plans.Key Activities & Information:install and test VSD equipment in the field to ensure the installed equipment operates effectively and according to customers? expectations.Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair activities within agreed technical specifications, costs, and timelines and submit job completion tickets as required.Monitor installed VSD performance troubleshoot equipment failures, and report equipment malfunction.Perform upgrading and communication between VSD and SCADA and troubleshoot any communication problems.Conduct harmonic and power quality analysis for the VSD.Set the alarm and trip point for the motor controller in accordance with DHE requirement.Set the drive to best point of lowering THD.Set and adjust VSD parameters settings to operate within product liability range and to adapt ESP and surface pumping systems with changing conditions to improve performance and optimize productivity.Respond to customers technical inquiries, and coordinate with the Operations Supervisor to address unresolved technical inquiries to ensure service levels are met.Participates in Client Service Quality review as needed and review all Service Quality issues on regular basesActively participate in failure analysis and follow up on closure to ensure non-reoccurrence of failureConduct regular well site inspections and participate in location audits to ensure compliance to standards and fulfill personnel coaching.Produce case histories and lessons learnt.Knowledge and ExperienceKnowledge of VSD, different brands and most new technology.Knowledge of all VSD componentsKnowledge of PLC and motor controller with different brands running with ESP systemsKnowledge VSD parameter programming and setting.Electro Mechanical Knowledge.3 -10 years experienceEducation and Certifications ? ?Diploma (Electrical)Electrical Engineering degree preferred.?
