Job SummaryThe Tekla Detailer will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for hot-rolled steel sections. The role involves collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Key Responsibilities * 3D Modeling: Create detailed 3D models of hot-rolled steel sections using Tekla Structures software. * Fabrication Drawings: Produce accurate fabrication and assembly drawings that meet project specifications. * Project Coordination: Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify design intent and resolve issues. * Quality Assurance: Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. * Material Take-offs: Prepare material lists and quantities for procurement and production planning. * Revision Management: Update and manage revisions to drawings and models as per project changes. * Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations and correspondence.Qualifications * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field (preferred). * Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in steel detailing, specifically with hot-rolled sections. * Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures and familiarity with other detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). * Knowledge of Standards: In-depth understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., AISC, AWS) and building codes.Skills * Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in modeling and drawing. * Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve design and fabrication issues effectively. * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. * Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications * Certifications: Certification in steel detailing (e.g., Certified Steel Detailer) is a plus. * Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with hot-rolled steel applications and fabrication processes. * Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.Working Conditions * Location: Office environment with occasional site & factory visits. * Hours: Full-time position with standard working hours; overtime may be required based on project deadlines.Application ProcessInterested candidates should submit their resume, portfolio of previous work, and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and qualifications.
