Job Description

Job Summary: As the Surveying Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all surveying activities within our organization. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate data collection, precise measurements, and adherence to project specifications. Your leadership will guide surveying teams toward achieving project goals efficiently and effectively.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Survey Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop survey plans and strategies based on project requirements, timelines, and scope.
  • Coordinate surveying activities with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  1. Field Operations Management:
  • Lead surveying teams in conducting field surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technologies.
  • Ensure accurate data collection, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction layout surveys.
  1. Quality Assurance and Control:
  • Implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
  • Conduct regular checks and inspections to ensure surveying techniques and methodologies meet industry standards and project specifications.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze survey data using GIS software and other tools to generate maps, charts, and reports.
  • Prepare and present survey findings, measurements, and calculations to project stakeholders and management.
  1. Technical Expertise and Support:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to surveying teams, resolving technical challenges and ensuring compliance with surveying standards and regulations.
  • Stay informed about advances in surveying technology and methodologies, incorporating best practices into surveying operations.
  1. Client and Stakeholder Communication:
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies on surveying matters, addressing inquiries and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Communicate surveying progress, findings, and recommendations effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  1. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Mentor and coach surveying staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and professionalism within the surveying team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate training programs to enhance team skills and capabilities.
