Monitor and control construction activities associated with the area and or activity assigned by the Construction Manager. Monitoring is to be at site continuous daily site walks. On average, a minimum (1/2) of the Engineer?s Day will be spent on site in the field.
Know the construction program including manpower and equipment requirements.
Facilitate the Consultant and relevant government agencies activities. Ensure inspection process is working correctly for all parties.
Ensure construction procedures followed. Understand how the each step of the building is to be constructed. Know the material and details.
Ensures all team activities and decisions support the project?s objectives and priorities.
Oversees project document review and approval process.
Controls project costs and schedules.
Prepares and issues weekly and monthly reports.
Manages the implementation of the project risk management process
Review technical submittals and shop drawings associated with the civil, structural and architectural works.
Coordinate civil works with and finishes activities.
Review contractor, consultant daily reports.
Monitor procurement process in order to ensure timely delivery of required materials.
Coordinate construction activities with QA/QC and safety managers to ensure compliance with approved plans.
