Duties and Responsibilities: ? Establish general work procedures and standards for the repair and refurbishment of components managed by MPW-SAU. ? Understand and implement the quality policy of MPW-SAU, ensuring adherence to established standards. ? Write and revise Quality Management procedures as required. ? Ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) of the workshop is well-maintained and conforms to relevant requirements and standards. ? Prepare and update technical documentation, engineering sheets, work procedures as needed. ? Generate detailed and accurate reports on repair activities, findings, and recommendations. ? Conduct root cause analysis initiatives to identify and address process-related concerns, contributing to continuous improvement efforts. ? Assist in the metallurgical examination of a wide variety of materials and processes according to standard procedures. ? Utilize inspection techniques, including visual inspection, microscopy, and non-destructive testing, to assess component integrity to make accurate observations in line with standard procedures. ? Work under tight deadlines to produce high-quality reports. ? Support and work closely the repair engineering team in improving workflow and developing techniques for novel materials and processes. ? Participate in initiatives to enhance repair techniques, reduce turnaround times, and improve overall quality. ? Work closely with Lead Repair Engineer and MHI?s repair engineering team to qualify repair processes. ? Maintain a flexible outlook and seek new opportunities to grow business for HGPP shop. ? Demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety issues concerning workshop activities. ? Work with minimal supervision and be willing to work under pressure. ? Maintain high-quality work within short timeframes. ? Have a solid understanding of steel/Ni super alloy metallurgy, especially during heat treatment and welding. ? Good knowledge of metallographic preparation techniques (especially steels, Ni based super-alloys and coatings). ? Understand typical mechanical testing methods such as tensile, fatigue, and stress rupture testing. ? Adopt a flexible approach to enable effective problem-solving and fast turnaround of novel specimens. ? Address technical challenges in repair processes with a proactive and flexible approach. ? Provide necessary support to factory management by participating in internal and external audits, ensuring all procedures and documentation are in compliance. ? Comply with any designated tasks assigned by factory management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support operational needs. ? Perform any other duties as required to support the business objectives and enhance overall team efficiency. ? Prepare and present clear and concise reports to the Factory Leader and Lead Repair Engineer, summarizing work performed during each engagement.
