Procurement Manager

Job Description

ROLE: PROCUREMENT MANAGERLOCATION: DAMMAM KSARole Duties: - Develop and implement assigned procurement strategies across multiple industries requirements including oil & gas, perfume, contracting and other industries as per the requirements of the customers. - Establish and communicate vision and strategic direction for materials and vendor contracts across the team. - Manage a team of purchasing officers, expeditors, QC team, material controllers and vendor data controllers as well as sales support officers to make as well as maintain the entire purchasing process. - Liaise with sales team as well as customers to ensure lowest priced technically correct offers are received for all materials - Provide strategic direction for the procurement function as it relates to overall work scope, individual and group roles and responsibilities, and fostering relationships with both internal and external customers. - Follow the short and long-term business plans with strategic direction from the GM and external business consultant. - Develop, measures and monitor annual performance reviews and resource planning by tangible measures. - Instil individual and team accountabilities, a sense of ownership for the work, and commitment to achieve - Leadership and shared responsibility for employee development, performance management and career management - Build and enhance relationships with business partners, suppliers and within related market sectors - Hold single point accountability for key sourcing strategies and activities to ensure both day to day purchases as well as logistics agreements/purchases are well planned, fully developed, competitive, and will deliver the maximum value using JIT purchasing methodology. - Identify opportunities to leverage overall procurement spend to obtain best pricing and on time delivery with suppliers. - Ensure competitive pricing with extra ordinary negotiating capability - Ensure delivery timelines defined by the customers are met - Develop and sustain competitive supplier database both in KSA as well as globally.REQUIREMENTS: - Significant purchasing and contracts management experience - Strong leadership skills - Excellent negotiation skills - Significant experience in managing teams - Very good communication and interpersonal skills - Procurement experience in all industries especially engineering, oil & gas, perfume and general trading industries preferably with high end projects that spill across wide industries. - Minimum 10 years experience in KSA in global sources with tangible/reliable vendors list
